1997/98 Hungarian GP Preview

by Markus Kruggel

The fact that the Hungaroring is not liked by many drivers, may result from its somehow unfortunate position in the schedule. Hockenheim with its long straights and slipstreaming all the time before, and Spa with its classic corners and high speed bends afterwards, would probably let every track look pretty bad on which a GP is held between those.

Anyway, overtaking is no pleasure here. Not only that the opportunities for overtaking are only a few, CCs tend to pile up at Hungary, worsing the situation. Hence, pretty often before the race lots of drivers gather on the grid praying for early retirements of CCs :-)
